Farm Bureau leader says Wisconsin’s Farm Support 2.0 is timely

The Vice President of Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation says the state’s latest round of pandemic support for farmers comes at the right time.  Dave Daniels says the direct payments won’t fix everything, but they will help farmers. “I think the 2.0 is going to come at a good time when not necessarily farmers were worrying about milk being dumped or cattle not being able to get into a harvesting plant, but it’s going to come at the end of the year when they need to clean up some bills.”

Daniels says many farmers are still financially impacted by what’s happened over the past year and a half, and more farmers signed up for this second round than the first round in 2020.
