About Me:
I’m still pretty new to radio by comparison. I started off my radio career at Cow97 in January of 2008 doing middays on the weekend, and filling in where ever else needed. In June of 2008 I left Cow97 and moved to southwest Iowa. While in Iowa I worked some odd jobs and worked part time at KJAN in Atlantic, Iowa for about a year. Now I’ve been back at Cow97 since February 2012 and am so glad to be back home in Cow Country.
I grew up on a family farm north of a map dot called Stanton, Iowa. I honestly believe I was 8 or 9 before I realized most people bought milk at the grocery store, and didn’t get their meat from a private drawer in the cooler of the local meat locker. I came to the area in 2003 via Fort McCoy on my way to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon my return to the States in 2004 I rented a cabin at Pine View Campground for a week's vacation. I ended up staying for 4 years and met my wonderful wife. In 2008 she had a great job opportunity present itself in Iowa so we headed south. In early 2012 we decided we missed Wisconsin and came back to the area.
I love music in general, but nothing speaks to me quite like country music. There is something about songs that seem like they were written about me and my life and no other genre does that like country. When I was younger I listened to a lot of “Hair Bands” then in the early 90’s a friend told me about this country song and had me listen to it. The song was Against The Grain by a still relatively new artist from Oklahoma by the Name of Garth Brooks. I was hooked.

I'm happy to have been a part of the team since late fall of 2010. When i'm not here talking about sports, I like to golf, read, hang out with friends, and spend time with my wonderful girlfriend. Thanks for listening, and as a prominent Sunday Morning news anchor would say, "I'll see you on the radio"!
Hey there...I am Andy Thursten. I bring you country music on the weekends. I am a fully bred Wisconsin boy that does not bleed the Green and Gold, or the Badger Red. I am sorry, but I do love the Milwaukee Brewers, so 1 out of 3 is not too bad.
As far as the music goes I love it all. Pop, classic rock, and of course country. If I had to pick my favorite artists it would have to go Jimmy Buffet, Zac Brown, Brad Paisley, and then Keith Urban.

SARA ROBERTS--WEEKENDS
About Sara....
I was born in southern Wisconsin a few years back. Lived on a farm for a while as a child then moved up north here to La Crosse. After living there for a while the fam picked up and moved around quite a bit. Had the opportunity to see a lot of the beautiful country we call home. Ended up in Sparta as a teenager and have been here ever since. I am a proud mom of two wonderful(by wonderful I mean masters of driving one insane) boys that keep me quite busy most of the time. They definitely keep me on my toes, that's for sure.
I had the luxury of having parents that were appreciative of all types of music growing up, so i enjoy all of it. Country though is my favorite by far. I lived outside a little town called Branson, MO for a few years and it was life changing for me. had the chance to meet some really wonderful and talented people there and had some of the best times of my life!!
Other than music I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, well generally just being outside with my boys teaching them all of the things i have learned over the years. Football is my favorite sport. Born a Packer fan, and always will be!!! This is my first job in radio and absolutely love it!!!!

Looks like I did something right but who knows?? I went to school right hear in La Crosse at Radio 1 but I'm originally from St.Paul, Minnesota... GO WILD!
I have lived all over this great country but I call the midwest home because whereever I move to I always end up back here or somewhere close. I'm a big city boy with a country heart who loves the outdoors. There's not too many things better than fishing and a cold one to me.
Music is my passion. I am consumed with it. I listen to all genres...good music is good music to me.
